Introduction

The Manufacturers Standardization Society (MSS) is an ANSI accredited Standards Development Organization which works with its members to develop and improve industry, national, and international standards and codes. Founded in 1924, it is the only technical not-for-profit organization dedicated solely to the technical needs of the valve and fittings industry.

Challenge

MSS needed a modern platform to manage both active standards development and archived standards access. Their existing custom-built solution had become outdated and cumbersome for users, and they felt a newer, integrated solution was the best path forward. They needed a system that was:

2. Robust enough to support active collaboration
3. Made it possible to facilitate virtual meetings

Solution

MSS selected Breezio as its new standards management platform, leveraging Breezio’s flexible Groups structure to support both Task Groups and Technical Committees (TCs). These groups now serve as dedicated spaces for collaboration, resource sharing, and event visibility.

MSS also drives membership of each group via data from their AMS, YourMembership, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for their members. For content, MSS relies on:

• Breezio’s Document Management System, making over 10,000 documents instantly accessible, with dozens of new documents added each month.
• Breezio’s Collections feature, which MSS branded as “Libraries,” allowing content to be categorized into over 400 collections for easier discovery.

Results:

Since launching, MSS has heavily utilized Breezio and has the results to prove it:

• Over 10,000 documents have been uploaded and categorized.
• Dozens of new documents are added each month. 
• 400+ Collections have been created, making it easy for users to find exactly what they need.
• MSS sees an average 25% unique login rate, a strong indicator of the value their platform has delivered.
